OPEN-AIR MUSEUM ROGATEC
In Rogatec Open-Air Museum, the largest museum of folk architecture in Slovenia, relive the time of our grandparents from the 19th century. Get to know the museum’s organic garden, herbs and how to prepare natural cosmetics in our cosmetic workshop. You can also buy products with organic certificate in the museum shop (natural air fresheners, soaps, creams and ointments, …). On Saturdays, the workshop “My grandmothers Žulike” takes place, where you bake your own, traditional bread. The museum offers some local refreshments (peasant cold cuts, stew, cheese rolls, herbal drinks …).
Experience cultural heritage with HoloLens2 smart glasses – a modern experience combining contemporary technology with knowledge of the past. Throughout the experience you explore the farm land and try to complete the farm chores.
Receive a prize for successfully completing tasks. Throughout the game you will tread a path that will reveal how much effort and time it once took to get from a grain of wheat, through flour, to then much appreciated food – bread. STRMOL MANSION
Get to know the Renaissance Baroque mansion Strmol, which was awarded to Jakob Strmolski by the Counts of Celje in 1436. Stories from the past are brought back to life in a new guise: picturesque exhibitions, concerts, experiences in the castle restaurant and workshops at the Crafts center. Every Saturday or Sunday free adventure workshops take place in the mansion (blowing glass, glass design, designing pottery by potter’s wheel or by hand…)

Strmol mansion is open from April 1 to October 31, Tuesday through Sunday and on holidays from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Mansion is closed on Monday. From November 01 to March 31 mansion is open every Saturday between 10 am and 4 pm.
